Sacred Heart
Sacred Heart Early Learning Centre is located next to Sacred Heart College in Pedder Street, New Town and provides a caring learning environment for children aged 1-5 years. Sacred Heart Early Learning Centre offers a smaller, family grouped environment where educators are able to form strong bonds with families and the children in their care. The service provides a warm, home like atmosphere where siblings can be together throughout the day.
The home like environment that our service offers allows children of mixed age groups to learn from each other, extending language skills, confidence, independence and resilience, as older children role model and inspire the younger children. Educators are committed to supporting children to grow and learn from and with each other.
Sacred Heart Outside School Hours Care, including Before School, After School and Vacation Care operates from Sacred Heart College, New Town.

Meals
Our service is a lunch box service and provides nutritional breakfast, morning tea and afternoon tea. Our menu is designed to take into account children’s likes and dislikes, special dietary requirements and the Australian Dietary and Infant Feeding Guidelines.
Sacred Heart Early Learning Centre is a Move Well Eat Well accredited service.
Excursions
The Discovery bus enables regular opportunities to go on excursions and strengthen links with the local community. These excursions expose children to a range of different experiences and enable them to further connect with their community. Children also have the opportunity to enjoy regular walking excursions to a variety of locations.
During Vacation Care, school age children participate in a range of excursions within the local community and the greater Hobart area.

DirectorGloria Morris
Gloria began her journey at Discovery in 2018; as she gained knowledge and experience she took on a variety of leadership positions before accepting the Director role. Gloria has built strong relationships with the children, staff and families over the years. She is passionate about following children’s voices while ensuring they are safe and supported at all times and having a good and happy team to support her. Gloria enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two gorgeous sons outside of work.
