Jo Walsh

Jo Walsh has over 20 years’ experience in the education and care sector. Jo holds a Bachelor of Education, with a major in Early Childhood Education. Since graduating from UTAS in 2002, she has continued to work in a diverse range of roles across the school and care sector, including as a prep teacher, Licensing Officer, Business Manager and now as CEO of Discovery. In 2007, Discovery’s journey began when Jo and her husband Lyndon took on two services in the south of the state. Over the years Discovery has grown to become a trusted and well known provider of education and care across all regions of Tasmania. Jo prides herself on being innovative and for setting new benchmarks for early learning. She is a member of several advisory boards, including Early Childhood Australia, to ensure that children’s early education is at the forefront of Government decisions and community thinking.
