World's Greatest Shave

Our Sorell Service proudly took part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave, coming together for a full week of colour, courage and community spirit in support of families facing blood cancer.

A Week of Colourful Fun

Our week-long celebration saw different team members stepping up each day to help raise awareness and funds:

• Monday: Educator Roseanne kicked things off by colouring her hair a vibrant pink.
• Tuesday: Educator Corey embraced a bold green and purple combo.
• Wednesday: The whole Service joined in for a Crazy Hair Day, with children and Educators showing off their wildest creations.
• Thursday: Our Chefs, Ty and Alicia, bravely had their hair cut for the cause.

The week concluded with a powerful moment on Friday when our Admin superstar Renee shaved her head in front of children, Educators, and her incredibly proud family. The Hub was filled with cheers, support and meaningful conversations, especially with OSHC children, about why Renee chose to take part, and that hair has no gender.

We think she looks absolutely amazing, and we are so proud of her commitment!

Incredible Acts of Kindness

Both Alicia and Renee went a step further by donating their ponytails to the Leukaemia Foundation, where they will be used to create wigs for patients undergoing treatment.

Our Collective Impact
