Wings Wildlife Park fundraising triumph

Discovery's northern services work together to raise funds for our friends at the Wings Wildlife Park

I have found that among its other benefits, giving liberates the soul of the giver.

Discovery takes pride in supporting external services, our fundraising and giving back to the community taches the children to be active community members and socially aware of the world around them.

Our northern services were recently involved in a mammoth fundraising drive to support the Wings Wildlife Park in Gunns Plains. The park was severely affected by the flooding on the North West Coast. They have been significantly impacted and have had to close their doors to the public as they rebuild and repair.

Our Launceston service ran a Sweet Raffle and Jellybean Guess, Bungawitta and Ravenswood Early Learning had Food Basket Raffles, Ulverstone Early Learning, Alexander Beetle House and our Burnie OSHC services all had a tremendously popular Pie Drive and our Milpara Early Learning Centre ran an Art Show Auction with the children's masterpieces!

Together these services raised a whopping $2,345 from friends and families. Discovery made a commitment to match all donations and we are now in the position to happily donate $4,690 to our friends at the Wings Wildlife Park.

These funds are to help them rebuild after the recent floods. This is a tremendous effort from everyone involved, we can't thank our Discovery community enough for supporting our fundraising and helping our friends at the Wings Wildlife Park!
