Welcome 2023!

Welcome 2023!

"We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day."

Edith Lovejoy Pierce

As we all welcome in the new year, and prepare for another active year of learning, growing and playing together - we set our intentions and begin to live each day with gratitude and kindness in our hearts. There is so much we want to achieve, especially in creating opportunities for the children to imagine, explore and discover each and every day.

We look forward to sharing another year with the children, their families and our communities. Knowing that for each of us, it may be a very different journey. We imagine what a year may look like through the eyes of a child and can appreciate the immense scale and enormity of it - as each day holds within it endless possibilities and incredible growth.

Now We Are Six
When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six,
I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now
for ever and ever.

For our educators each year is filled with an endless stream of activity and movement, but one thing will always be true and that's the incredible relationships that they develop and nurture with the children in their care. As we start the year our educators will be working hard to get to know each individual personality in their care, and together they will begin this wonderful journey into 2023.

Forever in my heart
