Discovery wide Reconciliation and Acknowledgment of Country

Waranta (we) acknowledge the traditional owners and custodians of the Land, the Palawa Peoples and pay respect to the Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, traditions and hopes for future generations.

Children learn through experiences, exploration and investigation; being invloved in the world around; through play, through song and storytelling - this is how we teach our children the story of this land, their place in it, its history and the First Nations peoples.

Discovery have also developed our own Reconciliation Action Plan. This has been proudly completed with the support of Narragunnawali, using the Narragunnawali platform. Narragunnawali supports schools and early learning services in Australia to develop environments that foster a high level of knowledge and pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contributions.
