Legana Early Learning Centre is a child-centred and architecturally designed Long Day Care centre, located within the Legana central community hub, within walking distance to the new Legana Primary School and local parks.
Our Legana service not only serves as a nurturing environment, but also provides early education, where young minds can flourish. By prioritising safety, comfort, and offering an enriching curriculum, the service provides children the opportunity to explore, learn, and develop essential skills in a supportive setting. The architectural design is a testament to innovation and creativity, providing a visually stimulating environment that encourages curiosity and imagination.

Our Legana Outside School Hours Care service is run from the nearby Legana Primary School. Bookings and enquiries can be made through our online enquiry form.
Meals
Our services employ qualified chefs to prepare nutritional meals, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea depending on your child's session time. Seasonal rotating menus are designed to take into account children’s likes and dislikes, special dietary requirements and the Australian Dietary and Infant Feeding Guidelines.
Discovery services are Move Well Eat Well accredited service.
Additional Programs
MOVEMENT TO MUSIC
Opportunities for a local music therapists to attend the service each week to help children in areas of development including: fine motor skills through action songs and instrument playing, gross motor coordination through dance, and development of rhythm.
YOGA
Regular yoga sessions to help children increase their confidence, build concentration and strengthen their growing bodies. Yoga helps build core strength for good posture and overall physical fitness as well as many social, emotional and cognitive benefits.
Active Children - agility, co-ordination and teamwork
Active sports sessions designed to develop children’s agility, co-ordination and teamwork skills. These programs offer challenging and engaging tasks, games, movement patterns and skill development for children with a focus on gross motor development.
Excursions
The Discovery bus enables regular opportunities to go on excursions and strengthen links with the local community. These excursions expose children to a range of different experiences and enable them to further connect with their community. Children also have the opportunity to enjoy regular walking excursions to a variety of locations.

Vicki has over 30 years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and Care. A respected leader across long day care and outside school hours care in the West Tamar region, she is passionate about mentoring educators and supporting their wellbeing and growth to achieve positive outcomes for children. Vicki is driven by community connection and engagement, and in her spare time enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren.
