Launceston

Launceston Early Learning Centre is a state-of-the art service located above the Launceston Health Hub in Wellington Street. This exceptional purpose built facility was established in November 2019. Our service is within walking distance from the Launceston General Hospital and is easily accessed from Wellington Street, making it the perfect location for families that live and work in the local community.

The indoor and outdoor environments have been designed to facilitate play-based learning with natural environments that spark imagination, build resilience and encourage socialisation. The service features an extensive nature-based outdoor environment that fosters childrenā€™s natural curiosity and desire for exploration. The service incorporates multiple and expansive outdoor areas that connect to Ockerby Gardens. The interior design incorporates natural light, openness and flow to create a sense of calm for children as they explore the inviting learning environments. The service is equipped with an art studio, giving the children space to express their creativity.

To cater for the needs of the local community the service is open for extended hours from 6:30 am ā€“ 10:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Our service provides a warm and inviting environment where we welcome and nurture children and embrace families as partners in our community of learners. We respect childhood and the value of time to be, to play, and to create.
